01 General Acceptance & Scope

Welcome to JP Institute of Medical Science & Hospital (JPIMS), situated at Sattar, Sarai Maner, Patna, Bihar – 801113. By accessing our website (www.jpimspatna.com), availing our outpatient/inpatient medical facilities, booking laboratory tests, or accessing inpatient hospital services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following institutional Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with any portion of these terms, please contact our hospital administrative administration or refrain from using our online portal and physical institutional amenities.

02 Medical Services & Emergency Care Disclaimer

All information provided on the JPIMS digital portal is for educational, informational, and institutional awareness purposes only. Online information is never an equivalent substitute for direct in-person clinical diagnosis or examination by a licensed medical practitioner.

• Emergency medical triage decisions are made strictly on clinical priority by our attending casualty medical officers and trauma specialists.
• Treatment regimens and surgical interventions require explicit informed consent signed by the patient or their legal guardian/attendant.
• JPIMS hospital reserves the right to stabilize and refer patients to tertiary super-specialty institutions in extraordinary circumstances where specialized tertiary facilities are required.

03 Outpatient (OPD) & Inpatient (IPD) Admission Guidelines

To ensure high-quality patient care and safety for everyone inside the hospital campus, patients and their attendants are required to follow these regulations:

• OPD Timings: General OPD operates Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Emergency services operate 24 hours every day.
• Registration & Consultation: Patients must register at the reception registration counter to obtain a unique Central Registration Number (CRN) for consultation and billing history.
• Attendant Policy: To reduce nosocomial infections, only one attendant is permitted with a patient in general wards, and zero or one attendant strictly during designated visiting hours in Intensive Care Units (ICU/CCU/NICU).
• Quiet & Cleanliness: JPIMS is a silence zone and a strict 100% tobacco, smoking, and alcohol-free campus. Violators are liable to institutional fines and legal prosecution under Bihar healthcare regulations.

04 Ayushman Bharat Yojana (PM-JAY) & Cashless Insurance

JP Institute of Medical Science & Hospital is an empanelled provider under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY):

• Eligible beneficiaries must present a valid Ayushman Bharat Golden Card, Aadhaar Card, or Ration Card at the dedicated Ayushman Helpdesk (Kiosk) in the main hospital lobby.
• Cashless benefits are subject to National Health Authority (NHA) empanelled package guidelines, verification, and pre-authorization approvals.
• Non-covered services or optional upgrades outside PM-JAY package inclusions must be settled directly according to standard institutional hospital tariffs.

05 Inpatient Care, Patient Rights & Visitor Guidelines

Patients admitted to JP Institute of Medical Science & Hospital and their designated attendants/visitors must observe hospital clinical guidelines and safety protocols:

• Visiting Hours: General ward visiting hours are strictly restricted to 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM daily. Only one visitor pass is permitted per patient at a time to ensure infection control and patient rest.
• Infection Control & Sanitization: All visitors and attendants must sanitize hands before entering ICU and ward areas. Outside food, flowers, and children below 12 years are not permitted in high-dependency clinical zones.
• Attendant Decorum: Attendants must treat medical, nursing, and administrative personnel with respect and cooperate with clinical staff during diagnostic rounds and procedures.

06 Patient Records & Medical Confidentiality

All clinical data, diagnostic imaging, lab reports, and patient files are kept strictly confidential in accordance with the Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations and applicable digital data protection standards.

Medical summaries and certified copies are issued exclusively to the patient or authorized legal representative upon submission of valid identification proofs and formal application to the Medical Superintendent.

07 Limitation of Liability & Institutional Property

JPIMS provides healthcare services through experienced clinicians adhering to established standard medical protocols. While the hospital strives for optimal medical recovery, biological outcomes and individual patient responses cannot be guaranteed.

Patients and attendants are strongly advised not to keep valuable personal belongings, jewelry, or excessive cash in hospital rooms. The institution accepts no liability for loss of unattended personal effects.

08 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the Laws of India. Any disputes, claims, or grievances arising out of hospital admission, treatment, or website usage shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Patna, Bihar.
