Accurate and rapid diagnostics are vital to successful patient recovery and evidence-based medical education. The Central Diagnostic Centre at JPIMS Hospital is a multi-tier diagnostic wing operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Integrating high-throughput automated pathology analyzers with state-of-the-art digital radiological imaging, our facility adheres to rigorous NABL standards and internal quality controls (IQC) under senior professors and certified consultants.

Central Clinical Pathology & Biochemistry

Automated Biochemistry: Comprehensive Liver Function Tests (LFT), Kidney Function Tests (KFT), Cardiac Biomarkers (Troponin-I, CPK-MB), Lipid Profiles, Electrolytes, HbA1c.
Hematology: 5-part automated cell counters, ESR, Peripheral Blood Smears, Coagulation Profile (PT/INR, APTT), Bone Marrow aspirations.
Clinical Pathology: Automated urine routine and microscopic analysis, stool examination, CSF & bodily fluids cytology.

Radiology & Digital Medical Imaging

Multi-Slice CT Scan (24x7): Rapid whole-body trauma scans, NCCT & CECT Head, Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis, Musculoskeletal CT, CT Angiography.
Digital Radiography (DR): 500mA fixed and mobile bedside DR units with high-contrast PACS networking to all ICUs and OTs.
4D Ultrasound & Color Doppler: Level-II anomaly obstetrical scans, arterial & venous Doppler of limbs, carotid Doppler, guided fluid aspirations.

Microbiology, Serology & Molecular Lab

Bacteriology & Mycology: Aerobic and anaerobic automated blood and fluid cultures, antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) conforming to CLSI guidelines.
Serology & Immunology: ELISA testing, Dengue NS1/IgM, Chikungunya, Typhoid, Viral Hepatitis panel (HBsAg, Anti-HCV), HIV I & II, RPR/VDRL.
Molecular Diagnostics: Real-Time PCR (RT-PCR) suite with biosafety containment for respiratory viruses and mycobacterial DNA detection.

Non-Invasive Cardiology & Neurophysiology

Cardiology Workup: 12-lead digital electrocardiography (ECG), 2D/4D Transthoracic Echocardiography, Computerized Treadmill Stress Test (TMT), 24-hr Holter.
Pulmonary Diagnostics: Computerized Spirometry and Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) for asthma, COPD, and occupational lung screenings.
Neurological Screening: Bedside EEG and electrophysiological monitoring for seizure evaluation and acute encephalopathies.

Sample Collection, Turnaround Time & Digital Delivery

Routine OPD sample collections are conducted from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (Mon–Sat) at the Central Diagnostic Lobby. Emergency pathology, blood gas analysis, CT scans, and bedside X-rays operate 24×7 without interruption. All certified reports are validated by senior faculty consultants and delivered directly to the patient's mobile via SMS / WhatsApp and Hospital Information System (HIS) portal.
